2019-2020 Fall Semester Course Registrations

All of our graduate students must read carefully our announcement file titled "To the Attention of All Our Students" when they are adding courses. Please click here for the announcement titled "To the Attention of All Our Students". Also, the relevant announcement file includes the curricula for all of the graduate programs.

 

The curricula for the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering have been updated and the students who registered for the 2019/2020 Academic Year Fall Semester will only be responsible for the courses in the updated curricula. The students at the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering who registered before 2019/2020 Academic Year Fall Semester will keep the courses from the previous curricula and if they are currently missing courses, they will be able to add courses from the updated curricula.
 
 

According to the regulations by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and YTU Senate, the MSc. Students who completed their maximum period of study as of the end of 2018-2019 Academic Year Spring Semester and who had applied for graduation and who are currently following the procedures for graduation do not have to make the tuition fee payment and add the thesis and field specialization courses during the course add/drop week of the 2019/2020 Academic Year Fall Semester. However, the MSc. and Ph.D. students who haven't completed their maximum period of study in the regulations and who have ongoing graduation procedures and whose final hard-bound thesis submissions extend into 2019-2020 Academic Year Fall Semester (This condition applies to the students who are going to make final submissions as September 16th, 2019. The ones who are going to make their final submission before the so-called deadline do no have to make tuition fee payment.must make their tuition fee payment (if tuition fee payment applies to them) and must add thesis and field specialization courses. 

 

The students who did not make their tuition fee payments accoring to the deadlines in the academic calendar will not be able to take advantage of and exercise the rights as a student (For example, they will not be able to submit thesis monitoring committee reports, they will not be able to receive a student certificate, they will not be able to request a leave of absence for any reason, etc.). The students cannot make the tuition fee payment outside the deadlines stated in the academic calendar.
