Special/Visiting Student Applications

2015-2016 FALL TERM SPECIAL AND VISITING STUDENT APPLICATIONS 
 
 
Special and Visiting Student Applications are to be done on 1-14 SEPTEMBER 2015. Click here for detailed information about being a special/visiting student.
 
Application: 
-Candidates must first fill in the Special Student Application form on the computer and have it approved by the Head of the related Department. 
-Then, they must go to the Tuition Fee Office (in Davutpasa) for the calculation of how much fee they are required to pay and do the payment accordingly. 
-One copy of each document given below must be submitted to the fee office. 
-Candidates who get approval from the Head of department and the fee office must complete their application by submitting the other copies of the documents below to our institute in Besiktas.

Required Documents
 
1-) Documents that visiting students must submit (Students who are registered at another university) 
- Approval document given by the institute that the student is registered for the course(s) to be taken at our university (Institute Administrative Board Decision),
- Student Certificate
- Transcript (2 copies), 
- Diploma (2 copies), 
- Copy of your ID Card/Passport (2 copies) 
- Receipt of the tuition fee payment that they paid to their university in the beginning of the term. 
- Students who would like to take courses in English must submit an English proficiency certificate which is announced to be equivalent of minimum 55 in YDS by the OSYM. 
- Students who would like to take courses in Turkish must bring a minimum C1 level TOMER certificate.
 
 
 
 
2-) Documents that Special students must submit (students who are not registered at a higher education institution)
- The receipt of the tuition fees of the courses and a copy of it  (the original receipt to be submitted to the fee office, the copy to our institute)
- Transcript (2 copies), 
- Diploma (2 copies), 
- Copy of your ID Card/Passport (2 copies) 
- Students who would like to take courses in English must submit an English proficiency certificate which is announced to be equivalent of minimum 55 in YDS by the OSYM. 
- Students who would like to take courses in Turkish must bring a minimum C1 level TOMER certificate.
 

CALCULATION OF THE TUITION FEE

Special/Visiting students will do the payment according to the course credits.

Fee of 1 course credit: 100,00.- TL

             

Example Calculation

A student who would like to take "EGT-5226 Education Inspeciton" must pay

Course Credits: 3 credits

3 credits x 100,00: 300,00.-TL

     

 
Important: 
1-) Students who would like to apply must complete all the processes given above on 1-14 SEPTEMBER 2015.
2-) Acredditting of at most 4 of the courses taken and been successful at as a special student is possible as per the article No.24 of the Graduate School Education Regulations.

Special Student Admission Regulations 
ARTICLE 10 – (1) There is no limitation for the period of being a special student. A student who would like to take courses in more than one term renews their registration in the beginning of each academic year. Students who would like to take courses in English must have one of the English proficiency scores which are accepted for the graduate programs.  
(2) A special student cannot do the thesis work and can only take courses from graduate programs. 
(3) Courses that are taken as a special student require tuition fee. The fees are determined by the University Administrative Board each year. 
(4) Being a special student does not give the student the right to register to a graduate program. Special student cannot benefit from the rights of regular students but can benefit from the academic facilities.   
(5) A special student is subject to Yıldız Technical University Graduate School Education Regulations and the Senate Regulations. The student is given a trancsript at the end of the term.
